This Privacy Policy explains how Te Fiti OÜ, registry code 16339918, registered at Roosi tn 2a, Nõmme linnaosa, Tallinn 11616, Estonia("SkillScales") processes your personal data when you use skillscales.com and related services. SkillScales is the data controller for this processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What we collect
- Account data: email address, hashed password (or Google account identifier if you use Google sign-in), account creation date.
- Career profile you provide: CV text, LinkedIn extracts, skills, work history, education, preferences, corrections and free-text signals.
- Files you upload: PDFs, DOCX and similar documents for CV extraction.
- Product usage: matches shown, feedback (like/dislike/hide), materials generated, subscription status, entitlement usage counters.
- Payment data: billing email and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never touch our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and diagnostic logs, retained short-term for security and debugging.
2. Why we process it (legal bases)
- To provide the Service — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract with you.
- To bill and support paid plans — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest.
- To send transactional emails (sign-in, password reset, receipts) — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records) — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your career data to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to generate outputs for you in real time.
3. AI processing
To produce estimates, match verdicts, executive summaries and tailored application materials we send relevant portions of your profile and selected job ads to our AI providers via the Lovable AI Gateway (currently Google Gemini). Providers act as processors on our behalf under contractual data-processing terms and do not use your inputs to train their models.
4. Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of trusted subprocessors to operate the Service:
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, authentication, storage (EU region).
- Lovable AI Gateway / Google (Gemini) — AI inference for matching, summaries and application materials.
- Stripe — payment processing and billing portal.
- Email delivery provider — transactional emails (sign-in, receipts, password reset).
5. Retention
- Career profile, feedback and generated materials: for the life of your account, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Billing records: retained for 7 years to meet Estonian accounting-law requirements.
- Security and diagnostic logs: up to 90 days.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data (in-app for most profile fields).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local supervisory authority.

7. International transfers
Personal data is primarily stored in the EU. Where a subprocessor operates outside the EEA (e.g. Google, Stripe), transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for the database, row-level access controls, authenticated APIs, and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; please report suspected vulnerabilities to support@skillscales.com.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
